This woodland home was built entirely of natural materials and it took only 4 months to complete.

The design is ingenious, dug into a hillside for low visual impact and strong shelter. Straw bales provide super-insulation to keep the heat in. The lime plaster is breathable and low energy to manufacture. Wood burning heater. Underground cooled fridge. Skylight. Solar panels for electricity. Compost toilet. Spring water.
