Pandas or elephants? Seems that the pandas in a Thailand Zoo is stealing all the attention after giving birth and therefore some smart marketing people have painted their elephants in panda colors… If you are in Thailand take a trip up to the Royal Elephant Kraal in Ayutthaya just 80 km north of Bangkok. They do look kind of cute… 
They are using all natural colors, so there is no need to worry and this might just get a dialog going about taking better care of the elephants. I still remember back in the mid 1980’s when elephants used to work on construction sites in Bangkok. Fortunately that has been banned.
