Young Leopards

This young male leopard gets a prickly reception after deciding to make a meal of a porcupine. The big cat was left with sore paws and a bruised ego after losing out in a battle of wits with its spiny opponent. Using all his hunting techniques, the two-year-old male tried pouncing on the porcupine from above, prodding him and trying to roll him over, but to no avail.
After 25 minutes and several painful spines in his paws, the big cat was forced to accept defeat and retreat with his tail between his legs.
The incredible moment was captured on camera by professional wildlife photographer Shem Compion in the Mashatu Game reserve, in Botswana.

Swimming With the Sharks

For those of you who believe sharks are extremely dangerous…
If these animals are such blood hungry predators then why are the divers able to interact with them in such a way? These divers are professionals, who are extremely comfortable in the water and train other on how to interact safely with large animals. Thank you for trying to show the ocean and it’s creatures in a new light. Sharks do not like to interact with humans nor do they hunt us intentionally. Mistakes do get made, but you are more likely to get struck by lightning then attached by a shark, yet most people are scared to go in the ocean. Before I became an avid diver I also had this thought that I may get eaten by a shark, then after spending countless hours underwater this fear diminishes. An encounter with a shark is a sacred experience. Shark populations around the world are in trouble and work done like pictured above helps raise awareness. Please do not eat shark fin soup!

Luxury airship to New york

Towering, kite-shaped airships could herald a new era of luxury transport following today’s introduction of the Aircruise concept.
Standing 98ft taller than Canary Wharf, packing 330,000 cubic metres of hydrogen gas and capable of lifting 396 tonnes, the Aircruise concept features penthouse apartments, bars and even dizzying glass viewing floors.
Aircruise was created as the antithesis of a hurried, crowded passenger jet. London-based design and innovation company Seymourpowell wanted to rethink transport – on the premise ’slow is the new fast’. It could ferry 100 people from London to New York in a leisurely 37 hours as opposed to the seven it takes now by airplane. It really amazing!

The smallest of the tiny models made by artist Mui Ling Teh stand at just 3mm high and look like a mere speck to the naked eye. Using just a paper and scissors and tweezer, the 23 year old painstakingly creates the miniature works, Just check this out its really cute miniature.

Bet you thought it was a awesome when Sony unveiled that commercial featuring a deluge of bouncy balls spilling thought the streets of San Francisco. I’m pretty sure you thought it real cool! Well you must prepare your mindball to skyrocket. Its currently displayed at the Roslyn Oxley 9 Gallery in Sydney, its full fashion and love from the artist Nike4 Sawas who used 1000 bouncy ball to create frozen landscape of colors and balls. Robot assist shoppers in China

A Chinese cabbage is handed to a robot named “Robovie-II”, developed by Japanese robotics research institution ATR, at a grocery store during a shopping assisting experiment by utilizing the robot in an ubiquitous network technology platform in Kyoto, western Japan January 6, 2010. The robot greets the shopper at the entrance of the store, follows him to the shelves while holding a grocery basket and reminds him of the items on a shopping list, which the shopper would have entered beforehand in a specialized mobile device. The experiment is aimed to gather data in order to provide livelihood support for the elderly by using robots and network technologies, ATR’s researcher Satoshi Koizumi said.
